About the Role

Kingston Health Sciences Centre is seeking a skilled and motivated Cardiac Echocardiography Technologist to join our cardiac care team. In this role, you will perform echocardiographic procedures for patients of all ages—adult, pediatric, and neonatal—across KHSC sites. Your work will support timely and accurate clinical assessments and contribute to high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform adult transthoracic echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms, and Doppler studies independently
  • Train for pediatric and neonatal transthoracic echocardiograms as needed in the department
  • Execute exercise stress echocardiograms
  • Assist with transesophageal and intra-operative procedures
  • Perform fetal echocardiograms independently
  • Administer contrast agents for applicable studies
  • Educate physicians and mentor ultrasound students
  • Participate in the on-call rotation
  • Lead and attend in-service training sessions
  • Travel to KHSC sites, contracted facilities, and satellite locations as needed

What You Bring

  • Registration with the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario
  • Completion of a Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography program
  • RDCS registration with ARDMS (preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license and flexibility to travel between sites
  • Current CPR certification
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to regular attendance and reliability
  • Clear criminal reference check and vulnerable sector screening
