Job Description: Assists the cardiologist/cardiovascular surgeon in diagnostic and interventional procedures, which may be performed on neonates, children and adults. May be responsible for performing pacemaker duties.

Education

  • Three-year Allied Health diploma recognized by the CACPT

Licenses

  • Canadian Association of Cardiopulmonary Technologists (CACPT)

Other Education and Training

  • Drug administration and intravenous injection course

Other Information

  • This position is not currently responsible for performing pacemakes duties
  • RT, RN, or Paramedic eligible for registration with CACPT may be considered
  • Registration with Canadian Association of Cardiopulmonary Technologists (CACPT)
  • This position is not currently responsible for neonates or children
